Wisconsin Congressman Paul Ryan As Mitt Romney’s Running Mate: The Reverse Robin Hood!

House Budget Committee Chairman Paul Ryan of Wisconsin yesterday declared his interest in considering the opportunity, if asked, to be the Vice Presidential running mate of former Massachusetts Governor Mitt Romney.

This author has earlier stated that Ryan would be one of the best choices that Romney could make, along with Ohio Senator Rob Portman, former Minnesota Governor Tim Pawlenty, and South Dakota Senator John Thune, all from the Midwest, the battleground for the 2012 Presidential Election.

Ryan is handsome, well spoken, comes from a “swing state” in the Midwest, and certainly knows a lot about the budget, as the head of the House Budget Committee.

These positives, however, are negated by the fact that Ryan has now proposed two budget years in a row for the ending of Medicare as we know it, replacing it with a voucher system for senior citizens.

Also, Ryan wants to promote even bigger tax cuts for the top two percent, and despite his protestations to the contrary, actually would increase the national debt, while claiming to try to deal with the national budget in a responsible way.

Basically, Paul Ryan is an arrogant, cocky guy who wants to be a reverse Robin Hood, and can sleep at night cutting Medicare, Medicaid, Social Security, education, environmental protection, and many other government programs in his mad dash to enrich the Mitt Romneys of the world!

Why would Mitt Romney NOT embrace Paul Ryan, as he and his elite class would be enriched ever further by this Congressman who claims to be a budget hawk, but really just wishes to redistribute income from the poor and middle class to the wealthy?

    Hello Professor,
I think we can see a reoccurring theme here. I can give the example with regards to Dick Cheney’s latest heart transplant operation. This has been bothering me and I have to ask, did he use his government tax payer funded health care, or did he use his Halliburton’s private company assisted funded medical plan, or did he use his own “Less Regulations / Business Friendly” eminence personal wealth “Out of Pocket” to pay for his heart transplant?

When it gets to the bottom line, does he practice what he preaches, or is he just another, “Don’t do as I do, Do as I say” Conservative. I would venture a guess that the latter is the correct choice because when it is all said and done, I believe at the end of the day his mind goes to, “Hey! I got mine; You go get yours” type of guy.

Now this could bring up the question, “Does the heart rule the soul or does the soul rule [read ruin] the heart?” Was Dick Cheney’s heart problem a “Cause and Effect” scenario on his health? I think one can say that the lack of his morals and ethics “Dark Soul” took its toll on his heart over the years as he had five heart attacks over 25 years which I give as proof of this fact. You cannot run away or lie to your own sub-conscience….it knows the truth.

So to conclude, Dick Cheney (former Vice President) as well as Paul Ryan, (wanna be Vice President) both have a self entitled, nihilistic hubris (It’s all about me), complimented with a “jealous envy” hate for others. This is too embedded in their mindsets for any real significant sanity change. Both are mentally deformed and psychologically sick men. How long will it take for Paul Ryan to have his first heart issue damaged by his own hating soul? Maybe none too soon.

Wow, you really go after Cheney!

But I must say I think your assessment of Cheney’s personality, and that of Paul Ryan, the basic conservative concept to have no concern about others, just about what one is entitled to because of station in life, rings true.

Having said that, I hope Paul Ryan has better health than Dick Cheney, because I am a progressive, and have good intentions toward others, wishing them the best.

I fully realize that you are like me, but are simply making an observation that could, indeed, occur, and if it does, I will have to say again “Wow”!
