Israel-Hamas War A Nightmare Scenario For Joe Biden Campaign!

The Israel-Hamas War, now six months old, has seen the death of 1,200 Israelis and 33,000 Gazan Palestinians.

More than 100 hostages of the 240 originally kidnapped on October 7 remain in Gaza, and famine is spreading in the Gaza Strip.

There seems to be no end to the bloodshed and hostage situation, and the war has divided the Democratic Party, with the left wing progressives condemning the war’s continuation, and Joe Biden being unsuccessful in influencing the strategy of Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu.

So as a result, many American Jews are angry at Biden for bringing pressure on Israel, while Arab-Muslim Americans are angry that Biden has not done more to stop the carnage.

And many Israelis are furious at Netanyahu for failure to negotiate the release of the remaining hostages.

The idea that Republicans and Donald Trump would have a better alternative that would win over the Jewish population and the Arab-Muslim population in the upcoming Presidential Election of 2024 is to believe in fairy tales.

However, if either group sits on their hands and stays home, it would dramatically undermine the Joe Biden campaign, and likely help Donald Trump to win.

107th Anniversary Of World War I Declaration!

On this date, April 6, 1917, America entered World War I, after four days of debate of President Woodrow Wilson’s War Message.

America emerged from an isolationist stance, and finally rejected George Washington’s admonition in his Farewell Address in 1796, warning against “entangling alliances”.

Sadly in the 1920s, and more so in the 1930s, America returned to isolationism, until forced out of that stance by the Japanese attack on Pearl Harbor on December 7, 1941.

Despite isolationist elements in the Republican Party after World War II, the US dealt with the Cold War with the Soviet Union by helping to form NATO, now 75 years of success in protecting America and its European allies.

But the battle against isolationism continues, as Donald Trump and MAGA Republicans threaten to end NATO engagement, and embrace authoritarian dictators, just as many of the isolationists in the 1930s embraced Adolf Hitler and Benito Mussolini, and worked to keep America neutral as Fascism advanced.

The Presidential Election of 2024 is another battle between internationalists and isolationists, and it is a battle that must be fought for the national security of America and the promotion of democracy against authoritarian threats.

Martin Luther King Jr Anniversary Of Assassination, And Race Relations In America

It has been 56 years since the assassination of the Reverend Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr in Memphis, Tennessee.

The nation has observed his January birthday as a national holiday since 1986, but sadly, racism, and white supremacy have not declined.

In fact, due to Donald Trump and his MAGA Republican followers, the Republican Party exudes racism, as well as nativism, misgoyny, and many strains of antisemitism.

The struggle of Republicans against DEI (Diversity, Equity, Inclusion) has harmed the nation, and the Supreme Court backtracking since 2013 on voting rights protection, presents a major challenge for the short and long term future of the struggle against the advancements of the civil rights movement in the 1960s and beyond.

The Democratic Party, as imperfect as it is, is still the best hope for the future in that regard.

NATO Has 75th Anniversary, Crucial Alliance Threatened By Donald Trump!

NATO, the North Atlantic Treaty Organization, was created 75 years ago on April 4, 1949.

It protected 13 European nations, Canada, and the United States in the emerging Cold War with the Soviet Union, which had occupied Eastern European countries by that date.

Today, NATO has 32 nations in its alliance, and they are the bulwark against aggression by the Russian Federation under Vladimir Putin.

They are working together to support Ukraine in its war against the invading Russians, now a war in its third year and nearing 800 days in duration and counting.

Donald Trump represents a dire threat to NATO, as he has been hostile toward the organization, and is threatening to abandon NATO if he is returned to the White House in 2025!

The need for the US to support NATO, and promote more aid to Ukraine, is urgent and essential!

RFK Jr Is Unbalanced, Unstable, And Repudiates His Revered Father’s Memory!

Robert F. Kennedy Jr. would be ignored if he was not his revered father’s namesake.

His family has repudiated him, and his 95 year old mother, Ethel Kennedy, is mortified over what her son is doing, working to defeat Joe Biden, who has a bust of RFK on his desk, shares his birthdate of November 20, and sees him as his hero!

RFK Jr. has been a vaccine denier without any evidence; and tells America that Joe Biden is more of a danger to democracy than Donald Trump!

That alone demonstrates how clueless RFK Jr. is, but his ignorant followers could determine who wins any of the battleground states if he ends up on the state ballots in November.

At this point, he is only on about six state ballots, and hopefully, he will be unable to succeed in being on most state ballots.

And he offers us his runningmate, Nicole Shanahan, a tech tycoon of 38, and with no qualifications to be President.

But then, RFK Jr. himself has no government experience or credentials of his own, and if his last name was Jones or Smith, no one would be paying any attention to him.

Hopefully, he will be as big of a flop as for instance Henry A. Wallace was in 1948, when Harry Truman was challenged, but overcame the opposition and won a surprise full term in the White House! And Henry A. Wallace had real credentials as compared to RFK Jr!

Abortion Rights Battle In Florida In November!

The battle over abortion rights is moving to Florida, where the voters will have the opportunity to enshrine them in the Florida state constitution by a vote in November, IF 60 percent of the voters vote favorably!

This fight will occur just as the state puts into action a six week abortion ban, even worse than the 15 week abortion ban originally put into play by Florida Governor Ron DeSantis, and just upheld by the DeSantis dominated appointments to the State Supreme Court. It will go into effect in May.

So for six months at least, there will be no legal abortion location in the Southern States, and this will be a battle royale of dueling sides in this battle for women’s rights!

This battle will also have the effect of putting the Presidential Election of 2024 into play in the Sunshine State, making it possible that Joe Biden might be able to win Florida.

Certainly, if that were to occur, it would insure that Biden defeats Donald Trump in November, due to the 30 electoral votes that Florida, as the third largest state, has in Presidential elections!

It could also endanger Senator Rick Scott in his race for a second term.

Donald Trump, White Christian Nationalism, And The Threat To America

Donald Trump spent Easter posting 77 times on Truth Social, in the most violent, vile, and obscene manner, including threatening President Joe Biden’s life.

A person who is totally the antithesis of “religious” is selling Trump “Bibles” to the gullible and clueless masses who consider themselves white Christian nationalists.

The fact that Trump and his white Christian Nationalist following have connections to antisemitism, racism, nativism, and misogyny, all of which defy the teachings of Jesus Christ, seems not to matter to them.

The promotion of violence and bloodshed portends trouble ahead as the nation lurches toward the Presidential and Congressional Elections of 2024, now just seven months away.

And then the two months until the formal counting of the Electoral College votes in a joint session of Congress on January 6, 2025, is likely to be very contentious, as it was in 2021!

43 Years Since Reagan Assassination Threat, And Dangers Ahead!

It has been 43 years since the last direct threat against an American President.

Ronald Reagan was shot by John Hinckley on March 30, 1981, and miraculously survived and recovered, although many observers think his later diagnosis of Alzheimers Disease may have been related to that shooting.

There have been threats against Presidents and other top government officials in the four decades since, thankfully without the kind of horrible experience that Reagan went through.

But the levels of verbal violence and threats has grown exponentially, and now Donald Trump has used violent rhetoric, incitig his supporters and threatening Joe Biden, federal judges, and others, claiming “freedom of speech”.

But “freedom of speech’ does have its limits, and there is a need to make that clear to Donald Trump and everyone else, on all sides of the political spectrum, that using incendiary rhetoric could lead to prosecution and imprisonment!

The fact that we have gone through the longest period of no turnover in the Presidency, and that the 25th Amendment has only been used twice, in 1973 and 1974, is a warning of the growing reality that the nation is likely to face growing odds of a transition that we have not faced in a half century since 1973-1974.

So the office of the Vice Presidency is more significant than ever, moving forward!

Super Wealthy Put Low Personal Taxes Ahead Of Nation’s Welfare

The super wealthy in America are proving that only their money and fortune matter, not the nation’s welfare!

Many of the super wealthy turned against Donald Trump after January 6, 2021, but now are finding excuses to support him, primarily to avoid higher taxation, as if they are going to take their super fortunes to the grave with them, or simply want to spoil their children with lack of motivation to have to accomplish in their own lives, without “Daddy’s” fortune!

The fact that the super wealthy gained massive tax cuts three times, under Ronald Reagan, George W. Bush, and then Donald Trump is not enough for this super wealthy class!

So they come up with excuses, such as the supposed poor mental state of Joe Biden, which is purely a myth, while anyone who pays attention can perceive that Donald Trump is in a much poorer mental state, clearly in dementia, and having proved it by his public appearances where he cannot even express himself in an intelligent manner!

The fact that Trump would bring into office evil people who would promote a Fascist dictatorship is of no concern, as long as these super wealthy do not have to pay taxes to help the nation and its population, that includes many who live in poverty and deprivation!

But these individuals think they are “good Christians” and “Good Jews”, and see themselves as “religious”, a total farce, clearly fake religiosity, as they clearly have no interest in anything outside their own selfish interests!

So the downfall of American democracy, the Constitution, and the rule of law is secondary to their own greed and selfishness!

Massive Fundraising Event For Democrats With Biden, Obama, Clinton!

For all those who believe the Democratic Party offers the best hope for the future, last night’s massive fundraising event at Radio City Music Hall in NYC with Presidents Joe Biden, Barack Obama, and Bill Clinton in attendance, was a magnificent event!

A total of $26 million was raised for the fight ahead for American democracy, the US Constitution, and the rule of law!

All three Presidents are united in their fight against the autocratic, Fascist threat of Donald Trump, and many reasonable and patriotic conservatives and Republicans are also committed to the struggle for the future against this evil man!

When one looks back at the Presidencies of Obama and Clinton, and the accomplishments of Joe Biden, and compares them to the dismal record of Republicans in the White House, one knows that we are engaged in a righteous cause, the most challenging time since World War II!
